DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position reports to the Chief Joint Interest Engineer and is responsible for development engineering and field evaluation in multidiscipline teams of geophysics, reservoir, drilling, facilities, operations and commercial/economics. These responsibilities will require a very broad knowledge of all technical aspects of oil and gas field development, both offshore and onshore, in particular reservoir, drilling and facilities engineering.
In the near term, there is a need to progress the development engineering activities for the North Belut discovery, which take into account how to best utilize the synergies offered by the Belanak infrastructure. Different development options will have to be evaluated, front end engineering work conducted, economic analyses performed, eventually leading to the submittal of a Plan of Development to Migas.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Broad background in facilities development with relevant understanding of other inter-related disciplines, such as GG&RE, drilling and production.
2. Good understanding of D&RA, FEL and the CAMP processes and their application to developments, both large and marginal.
3. Prior experience in developments, both oil and gas, from reservoir to sale of upstream product.
4. A clear understanding of effective use of contractors and contracting strategy experience with international contracting.
5. Conceptual thinker able to integrate technical, commercial and business knowledge into economic solutions.
6. A proven track record of ability to produce sustainable results under varying working conditions.
7. The desire and ability to live and work in a multicultural environment in a developing country, where the facilities and lifestyle are very different from those in the US and Europe.
SR. DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER/STAFF DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development engineering and field evaluation in association with multidiscipline teams including geophysics, reservoir, drilling, facilities, operations, commercial and economic disciplines. These responsibilities will require a broad knowledge of technical aspects of oil and gas field development, both offshore and onshore, in particular reservoir, drilling and facilities engineering. In this capacity, development options shall be identified and evaluated followed by appropriate economic analysis and front end engineering. The output from the development engineering activities may be carried forward and incorporated into Plans of Development (POD). These POD’s shall form the technical and commercial basis which shall enable COPI to apply for governmental approval for the development.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering – Mechanical or Chemical
• Minimum of 7 - 10 years relevant experience.
• Broad background in facilities development with relevant understanding of other inter related disciplines, such as GG&RE, drilling and production.
• Good understanding of D&RA, FEL and the CAMP processes and their application to developments, both large and marginal.
• Prior experience in developments, both oil and gas, from reservoir to sale of upstream product.
